Default How to Automatically Correct Formula All the Way Down a Column?

Another way to copy the revised formula down to the last row --

Select the cell that contains the revised formula
Point to the cell's fill handle (black square at the
bottom right of the cell)
When the pointer changes to a black plus sign, double-click

I recently changed a formula in the top cell of one of my columns. I
want it to automatically carry the changed formula over to all the
cells under it. Is this possible?

I've been cutting and pasting over and over but this is slow and
pasting mistakes happen. :(
