Default How to find and list duplicate values in a list?

That's exactly what Pivot Tables do best. The function
is under the Data menu item. For purposes brevity, I'm
not going to go through every keystroke that gets you to
the Layout wizard when creating a Pivot Table. So I'll
start with the Layout part of the Pivot Table wizard.
Drag and drop the field that contains the duplicate value
into to the section marked ROWS. Then drag and drop the
same field into the section marked DATA. If it does not
say count of FieldName, then double click it then click
count. If you want to add othe fields, you can drag and
drop the as well, below the duplicate field in the
section marked ROWS.

Sorry for my preceding that just slipped away!

My question is how I find duplicate values in a list and

how I can list them together with the number of times
they appear in the list.

Hope someone can help me with this problem.
