Default Scoll button in VBE editor; How make work?

I've just installed a DELL USB Optical Mouse. I believe the
technology is from Logitech. I can't get the wheel mouse to work in a
VBA editor, AAARGH!!

I tried Jake Marx's solution by installing 4.12 but that didn't work.

Can anyone help me? I'm running Windows XP Pro.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Chet,

Yes, version 4.12 should work for you.

[Ignore the version info in the title of the download page - look at the
bottom of the article for supported operating systems. It's working fine
for me in Windows XP.]

Thanks Jake,
Are you saying to load Intellimouse 4.0 drivers because
when I search the MS web-site it comes up the
Intellipoint 5.0 driver for the Intellimouse Explorer vsn
4.0? I'm confused - are you saying there are specific
drivers for the Intellimouse Explorer? (I didn't see
them yet.)

Thanks,
Chet

Hi Chet,

I have Office XP and an Intellimouse vsn 4.0 with the
latest Microsoft Intellipoint drivers

That's the problem right there. The latest drivers for IntelliPoint
are awful. They don't allow scrolling with the wheel mouse in
various applications. Install the latest version 4.x driver and you
should be back in business.
