To use a pivot table the data must be in memory.

There is the option on setting up a pivot table to use the same sourc
as another PT, rather than duplicating the data.

Otherwise you might try un-checking the option to "Save data with tabl
layout" , close the workbook, then re-open and continue. I have no
tried this
