That depends on which ranges. You could change the formula to a string
prior to the copy by inserting a single quote before the = sign, then copy,
paste, and delete the quote mark. Or, possibly, you could use absolute
range references on one or more of the range references (that means A1:A100
should look like $A$1:$A$100)
