You still seem to be missing basic concepts. You open the text file in
excel and it is opened and treated like a workbook. You process it and then
save it as html. The html file still sits in excel appearing as a workbook
until you close it. All files displayed in Excel are displayed as/appear as
workbooks regardless of the actual format of the underlying file.

Using the methods you are using, it has to open your
text files (which then
appear as workbooks). If you save and close them after
each has been
processed, then they don't necessarily have to be seen.
Right now you are
saving them, but you are not closing them

Activeworkbook.Close SaveChanges:=False ( you
already saved them, so
you don't need to save again).
or
Workbooks("Hector.htm").Close SaveChanges:=False

as examples.
