Here's the general idea of how to do this. Be sure to change the
workbook path and name to fit your circumstances.

Sub OpenWorkbookHidden()
Dim wkbBook As Workbook
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Set wkbBook = Workbooks.Open("E:\Book1.xls")
wkbBook.Windows(1).Visible = False
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub
