Yes it is. In your case:
A........B...........................C
10....=100-500+400.......=MMULT(MINVERSE(A1),B1)

The formula in C1 must be confirmed by holding down Ctrl and Shift, and
then hit Enter.

This will also work for larger equations (i.e. x,y,z)
If the formula don't find a solution, it will return #VALUE!
