In VBA, go to the Tools menu and choose References. There, check the box
next to "Microsoft Scripting Runtime" and use code like the following:
Dim FSO As New Scripting.FileSystemObject
Dim F As Scripting.Folder
Set F = FSO.GetFolder("C:\Temp")
Debug.Print F.Size
