How can I sort multiple months/years WITHOUT Alpha order taking o.
Trying to sort 3 years of data, which is in month and year fashion. How can
I segregate and sort the columns so that the years grop together? Excell seems to group the alpha order of jan, feb, mar, and does not recognize the true values as Jan-02, Jan-03, jan-04...is there a way to get this to sort by year grouping jan 02, feb-02, mar-02, followed by jan-04,feb-04, mar-04. |

Insert in the column next to the months (that are entered as text) the
following: =datevalue(A1) where cell a1 is the cell holding the months data Now copy it down to the end of the list Now sort it using the newly created column as the criterion.
