password?
I am using Excel 2000. I am trying to create a work sheet that allows
multiple users to modify different cells with different passwords. EXAMPLE: Mike can only modify column 1 with his password and the rest is read only. Joe can only modify column 2 with his password ect............... Thanks! |

password?

Only one password allowed per worksheet. What you want to do would be difficult. How about taking an alternate approach? Each user has their own sheet with just their range unlocked for entering and editing data. The others' sheets would be hidden. Have a log-in sheet that all users would open. A password would be entered and their sheet would be unhidden. They enter their data and it is transferred to the Master sheet which you alone can access. This would require quite a bit of coding and would not be too secure since sheet protection passwords can easily be cracked. Gord Dibben Excel MVP The data they enter would be collected to a Master sheet. On Fri, 23 Dec 2005 15:03:02 -0800, "Pmcn" wrote: I am using Excel 2000.
