What exactly do you presently have in the list now?
If, for example, you had: (213) 123-4567 You could use "Edit & Replace", where you "Find" " ( " (no quotes) And replace with " 1 ( " (no quotes). -- HTH, RD ============================================== Please keep all correspondence within the Group, so all may benefit! ============================================== "Jan" wrote in message ... If your phone number is A1 and is in US format, then, if you want ALL numbers to be prefixed by a 1: =TEXT(A1,"[<=9999999]1-###-####;1-(###) ###-####") If you only want those numbers with area codes prefixed by a 1, then: =TEXT(A1,"[<=9999999]###-####;1-(###) ###-####") --ron |
