Default excel

I have created three workbooks that have a series of links/formula that
update sheets/cells within the other workbooks on my desktop computer. When i
transfersave the workbooks using a pen drive onto a laptop, and open them
from the laptop the links/formula are all prefixed with the letter of the pen
drive. How do I stop this from happening.

Are you actually "saving" to the pen drive?

Best to save to first to HDD then just copy the workbooks to the pen drive.
