Default Cannot create new hyperlinks in saved workbooks

A few days ago I began hyperlinking cells in various worksheets in the same
workbook, using the formula =HYPERLINK("[practice]Sheet2!D3,). I saved my
work, and the hyperlinks that were created still work. However, now when
reopening the book, if I type the exact same formula (or variations of it
with different cell references), I get the error message, "Cannot open
specified path". This is true for all my saved workbooks. If i create a new
workbook, I can again create working hyperlinks. Any help with this problem
would be greatly appreciated.
