FILE | SAVE AS and choose a filtered web document. This will spit out the
images as separate files in a MYFILENAME_FILES directory.

I went to File and then Save As. I could not find filtered web document in
the drop down. Am I looking in the wrong place?

What version of excel are you using?

In xl2003, I can choose a "save as type:" of "Web Page (*.htm;*.html)
