I have a user and when he double clicks an excel file, excel opens but the
file does not open. To open a file, he has to open it from inside excel by going to file then open. So for files sent over mail he has to copy them to his desktop then open excel and then open the file. He is using excel 2000. What could be the problem and how can we resolve it? |

Sometimes one of these works for similar problems.
Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's factory defaults. awangari wrote: I have a user and when he double clicks an excel file, excel opens but the file does not open.
