Excel should have keyboard shortcuts for paste value/format
 

Hi aricshoe- You can record a macro and then assign it to a text-only toolbar
button and that will give you the alt+letter shortcuts.

I probably use those features more than anything else.

maybe set it to cntrl+ w or something.
