Can I copy a Pivot Table layout from one workbook (excel file) to another? My
app cretes a series of xls identical reports and I am having to setup the
layout every time.

You should certainly be able to copy and paste the whole pivot table. Just
highlight the top-right cell (which will be something like "Count of. " to
highlight the whole table.

Also, why not just do it slowly once and get it right, but record a macro
whilst you do it (Make sure to save in your Personal macro Workbook). Then
you can try running the macro in the new workbook next time.
