Print Column Headings

I am trying to print my column headings (the contents of row 1) on each page,
but Excel is not having it. I have the pane frozen, so that row 1 is always
visible on the screen when I scroll. In the past, this has also given me the
column headings on printouts, but not this time. "Help" tells me to use the
"Rows to repeat..." setting in "Sheet" under print setup. However, the option
is greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Don't go through the print preview dialog.

Go through File|page setup|sheet tab.
