cannot open excel at all

would really appreciate help, i cannot open excel and i need to open a
emailo attatchment on excel. it keeps asking for the product key number but
when i type it in it does not open.
please help!!!

The obvious question is......do you have Excel installed on your computer?

If so, does Excel open when you double-click on any *.XLS file on your
computer?
