FILES WON'T OPEN

When I try to open an Excel file, I get an error message. When I look up the
error message I get
c:\DOCUME~1\HARRYG~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\f195_appcompat. txt
I found out that this means that I have a file that interferes with
Excel.exe. How do I find the file to delete it?
All of my other office files open OK Thanks

Harry

That files is in C:\Documents and Settings\Harry Peare\Local Settings\Temp

The Local Settings folder is hidden by default so try any window
(ToolsFolder Options...View, and check show hidden files and folders)

Lady Layla

In XP, Make sure you have hidden files showing, in Explorer, manuever to
Documents & settings/<user name/local settings/temp
Delete all files and subdirectories
