FILES WON'T OPEN
When I try to open an Excel file, I get an error message. When I look up the
error message I get c:\DOCUME~1\HARRYG~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\f195_appcompat. txt I found out that this means that I have a file that interferes with Excel.exe. How do I find the file to delete it? All of my other office files open OK Thanks |

That files is in C:\Documents and Settings\Harry Peare\Local Settings\Temp The Local Settings folder is hidden by default so try any window (ToolsFolder Options...View, and check show hidden files and folders) -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England HIS "Harry G Peare" wrote in message ...
