Wrapping a formatted date

Hi,
I have a large spreadsheet with the day of the week and corresponding date in one cell, for instance, "Monday 9/3". I'd like it to wrap in the cell where Monday is on one line and 9/3 is centered below it in the same cell. Of course I could do it manually, but I'm creating weekday calendars from now until July and I don't want to take that time.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Anne

Hi Anne,

1) Select all the cells you need this done to.
2) Press Ctrl+H to bring up the find and replace box
3) In the "Find What" box just enter a space
4) In the "Replace With" box hold down the Alt key (the one to the left of the space bar) and type 0010 on the numeric keypad (not the numbers along the top of your keyboard)
5) Nothing will show in the replace with box, but the magic will happen as soon as you hit the "Replace All" button.

Let me know if that works or not for you. :)

Hi,
It was magical, but instead of adding the line break, it removed the space between day and date. Do you have any other magic codes that will add a line break?

Worked perfectly for me.
Undo what you did and try it again. Just make sure you hold down Alt whilst you type the 0010 in the second box. You HAVE to use the numerical keypad to the right of your keyboard and not the numbers along the top.

If it still doesn't work, post the workbook and I'll see if I can get it to work for you.
