Dual Screen Routing Bug???
I have seen a very strange problem with routed spreadsheets on a number of
dual screen users and think it is a bug. Here are the symptoms: -User has a dual screen configuration with the Left screen set as primary. -User has Excel opened and maximized on the Right screen and Outlook maximized on the Left screen. -User opens an Excel sheet which has been routed to him via Outlook (because excel is already opened it opens on the Right screen). -When he tries to Send the sheet to the "Next Routing Recipient" Excel appears to lockup. What I have found is happening is that an Outlook security dialog box is waiting for user input (asking if it is okay to let Excel send an email). The problem is that the dialog box does not appear on either screen, so the user cannot reply. I can used the taskbar's Move command along with arrows on the keyboard to move it into viewable range, but it is still extremely annoying. I have seen this problem on a number of different computer (both with ATI and nVidia graphics cards) and running both Office XP and Office 2003 (with all the latest service packs installed). |
