I'm getting stuck on something really basic. I want to compare the sum of
two cells with the value of one cell multiplied and, if greater, turn the cell red. I'm entering the formula and it's appearing as follows: =IF+$E$5:$E$6$E$4*2 It won't work. Anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks |
Hi
does the formula =($E$5+$E$6)($E$4*2) do what you want? -- Cheers JulieD check out www.hcts.net.au/tipsandtricks.htm ....well i'm working on it anyway "Mr Anonymouse" wrote in message ... That worked a treat. I also got it to work using the 'sum' function.
I think I was looking for too complex an answer to a simple question. Next time I'll look for the simple answer. Thanks for taking the time. "JulieD" wrote in message ...
