words rather than icons
Hi,
How do I customise the menus to only a list of words instead of these colourful icons. They take a lot of space and I can't find any of the commands. This makes me lose a lot of time not mentionning the stress levels rising. Colourful icons are cute but not very useful to the professionals, you might want to think of developing a junior and a professional version for each of your program. Eventually, have people testing the "ribbons" ... and what was wrong with the word "menu" Thanks -- vcl |

Apparently, efficiency was the last thing on M$'s mind while "improving" the office. I have no idea why they made such radical change to the interface. It's NOT like people hated the good old customizable menus!!!!! To answer your question, there is no way to show text-only buttons. In fact the ONLY thing you could do to that big ugly ribbon is to minimize it, and try to imagine that it doesn't exist!@ There is absolutely no way to customize it. The only thing you can customize is the Quick Access Toolbar which is just a single-line toolbar where you can add/remove buttons. |
