Recovery as in autorecovery, right?
The recovery file isn't hidden. But it's usually stored in an out of the way place that you wouldn't notice. Make sure that the folder location is where you want it. In xl2003 menus: Tools|Options|Save change the autorecover save location. I've never changed mine (xl2003 and winXP home) and it points to: C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\ EPSCoR wrote: The hidden recovery file is saving itself as an unhidden backup file when ever is ave the workbook. is there a setting i do not know about for this and how can i change this back? -- Dave Peterson |

i am talking about the hidden file that appears in the folder of the file you
