Currency Symbol
 

Hi there,

How can I change the currecny symbol in Excell. It stays on $ and I need it
to be R.

I have changed the setting in Control Panel in Regional Settings to South
Africa. There the R is displayed as the Currency symbol.

I will really appreciate your help.

Hi Deon,
What operating system and what version of Excel
(that's Excell to you).

If you look at format, custom, number
there is R Afrikaans
there is R English (South Africa)

I expect that you would have to change existing usage
manually. You might also lose some choices of formats
with parens for negative numbers.
