Missing programs after downloading open office

I loaded XP home, and now Power point, Excel and Word went missing from my
start up and program list after loading open office 2.0. Did it delete it?

Windows XP Home is an Operating System and does not come with MS Office
installed.

If you just installed XP home, you probably did a clean install, which would
have cleaned out any Office Applications you may have have had previously
installed.

Just to make sure it's not just the shortcuts missing, go to StartRun and type
in "excel.exe"(no quotes" and OK
