Problems with opening a VBA contained excel file?
 

When I want to open a file that contains Visual Basic program in Excel 2007 I
face this
Error message:
Opening the VBA project in this file requires a component that is not
currently installed. This file will be opened without the VBA project. For
more information, search Microsoft Office Online for €œVBA converters€�.
Searching Microsoft Office Online I didn't find anything that solves my
problem

What is probably happening is that someone either included a reference to a
program that they had on their computer (maybe to use an ActiveX control or
function in a dll) and you probably don't have it. Did you, or someone else
create the workbook?

Folks in our office are having this issue as well. According to what I read,
2007 does not have converters for vba code in it. What we're trying to open
is forms that opened just fine in 2000 and 2003(and that were most likely
built in 2000). Absolutely nothing remarkable about them.

What can also be the problem is that the Office program was installed as
TYPICAL instead of CUSTOM where you can select all of the converters and
various other items that are really good to have but aren't installed with a
TYPICAL installation.
