Reading Cells from One Worksheet in another
Simply put, is there a way to have say Sheet read cells from Sheet 1?
I know what i'm doing is probably better suited for a database, an excel worksheet would hopefully shorten time, due to the fact it won't be in use for very long. I have a "master" list of items for a project. I'd like to have different sheets for different categories on the master list. say for things like motors, panels, limit switches and the like. is there a way that if say column A had a "type identifier) to have it pull that row and place it in sheet 2 or 3? |

Mike,
There are many ways to create links in a spreadsheet to external data sources of various types. In Excel Help, just do a serach on Link.
