Get Started Tab in Excel 2007
Roger,
That's when I get the message that it cannot remove it. Mesasage: "The connected state of Office Add-ins registerer in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE cannot be changed" DOes that mean that I need to disconnect from the Internet to remove it? Thanks. Get Started Tab in Excel 2007
Hi Bill
I don't know why that didn't work for you, it worked find for me. If you are comfortable with editing the Registry, close Excel then you could use StartRunRegedit HKEY_Current_UserSoftware MicrosoftOffice 12.0ExcelOptions Look through the keys set as OPEN, OPEN1 etc. One of them will have the value set to open that COM add-in. Right click on the appropriate key and click DELETE. Close Regedit. When you next open Excel, that tab should have disappeared.. -- Regards Roger Govier "Bill G" wrote in message ...
