VLOOKUP FOR MULTIPLE VALUES

In a spreadsheet, I have a value which appears more than once in different
rows in a table array. I need to do a vlookup which checks the value in this
table array and sums up the amounts in an adjacent column applicable for this
value. Can I achieve this?

It sounds like you could use =sumif().

Debra Dalgleish has lots of info on counting and summing at:
