I only want to save and close one window at a time (like Word)
Everytime I click the X in the corner, Excel closes all windows. Usually I
only want to close the one on top. Is there a setting that I can change so that each xls is a separate window, like in Word? Or do I always have to use the little X below the toolbars? |

Nope. No setting. Use that lower X.

Are you sure that there is not a registry hack or something that will allow
Excel to open once for each file rather than sharing the same environment? This is the exact question that I came out here to ask. Thanks. Ann "Dave Peterson" wrote: Nope. No setting.
