Need Simple Macro
 

I need a macro to examine column A for alpha-numeric value, leave the
data in column A as is, and copy the numeric data into column B.

The data is in only 1 of 2 formats:


xxxxx1234567
xxx1234567

No macro needed......In B1 put this formula and copy down..........

=RIGHT(a1,7)

=MID(A1,MIN(SEARCH({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"01234 56789")),99)

In B1,

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,C1,"")
