calcutating days

Hi
I have a time of 54:53:20 Hrs:mins:secs . I am trying to change
this to days but not 24hr days. I need to work out how many 8 hr
working days are in this.

If A1 contains 54:53:20 then
=A1*24/8 will yield 6.861111111

calcutating days

Hi
Thanks for the answers. if I do this, then format 6.8611 to time.
"Days, hours, minutes and seconds" , I get this 06 20:40:00. Should I
not get this 06 06:53:20 ( 6 days - 6 x 8 hour days = 48hours, 6 hours
- 54 hours minus 48 hours=6, 53 minutes and 20 seconds). To format the
cell I put in custom number - dd hh:mm:ss . Is this right.

6.8611 is equal to 6 day 20 hours 39 minutes and 59 seconds, so if that is
incorrect then the 6.8611 must be incorrect
