Hi Thanks for the answers. if I do this, then format 6.8611 to time. "Days, hours, minutes and seconds" , I get this 06 20:40:00. Should I not get this 06 06:53:20 ( 6 days - 6 x 8 hour days = 48hours, 6 hours - 54 hours minus 48 hours=6, 53 minutes and 20 seconds). To format the cell I put in custom number - dd hh:mm:ss . Is this right. 6.8611 is equal to 6 day 20 hours 39 minutes and 59 seconds, so if that is
incorrect then the 6.8611 must be incorrect -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom Excel 95 - Excel 2007 Northwest Excel Solutions www.nwexcelsolutions.com "It is a good thing to follow the first law of holes; if you are in one stop digging."
