How do I correctly enter a formula?

I entered =i15+j15 to add the 2 columns but it doesn't work correctly. I want
to add for instance 150.0+150.0 & I get 15000.0 instead of 300.0. What am I
doing wrong?

Hi,

If you go to Tools | Options | Calculation (tab), is Iteration checked?

On the same tab Zack mentioned, check to make sure your calculation is set to
automatic.
