Min and Max Values?
I have a group of numbers
5 2 3 5 9 4 3 5 9 7 1 1 1 9 9 I want to total the columns. However I don't want the max and the min in each row to be used. And I only want the left most min or max excluded. For example on the last row I only want the first 1 and the first 9 excluded. Thanks for any help you can give me. |
Min and Max Values?
Hi
I used the range A1:E3 for the example Put this formula in F1 and copy down as far as needed =SUM(A1:E1)-MIN(A1:E1)-MAX(A1:E1) HTH Michael "mjlevie" wrote: I have a group of numbers 5 2 3 5 9 4 3 5 9 7 1 1 1 9 9 I want to total the columns. Min and Max Values?
Assuming 1st number in A1, =SUM(A1:E1)-(MIN(A1:E1)+MAX(A1:E1)) ought to
do it. mjlevie wrote: I have a group of numbers 5 2 3 5 9 4 3 5 9 7 1 1 1 9 9 I want to total the columns. However I don't want the max and the min in each row to be used. Min and Max Values?
Hi Hugh
I don't think you answer is correct. By having +MAX(A1:E1) it is summing the range and then adding MAX of the range to the sum ??
