Email .xls with VLOOKUP
Hello -
I'm pretty new at this. I need to email an excel file. I have used VLOOKUP (which references another file not in the same workbook). If I send this file: a) will they see what VLOOKUP pulled in? without sending the reference file? b) if not, how can I "freeze" the file I send so it does show the referenced data, but not the entire reference file? Thanks so much for all your help! |
Email .xls with VLOOKUP
If I ask the recepient NOT to update links. Then they would get the info -
correct? If they select "Update Links" excel will go off on a wild goose chase looking for the file that they do not have - correct? Thanks. "DTTODGG" wrote: Hello - I'm pretty new at this. Why not PASTE SPECIAL the VLOOKUP results into the copy of the document that
you are circulating. This would break the vlkooup link but keep the values you have already pulled in. "DTTODGG" wrote: If I ask the recepient NOT to update links.
