Excel read-only files
Occasionally, when I open an existing file in Excel, it will be "read-only".
I have never "asked" Excel to do this. I looked on the online help about going into Windows Explorer to remove it. I have never set it up to do this, it just seems to happen randomly. What am I doing to make this happen? |

One place where I've seen that, is when retrieving a file from a CD.
