Default How can I access formula bar by using keyboard not mouse?

I want to use keyboad to access the formula bar for enter date instead of
using mouse to get there.

Alai

With a cell selected hit F2 key to get into Edit mode in the formula bar.

Alternative..........with a cell selected, hit CTRL + ;(semi-colon) to enter
today's date in that cell.
