drop dpwn tables in excel
hi, i working on a little spreadsheet and would like to insert a drop down table, tht allows some pre-written answers to be inserted into a cell, for example : under the heading 'type of order', the correct answerss would be 'model', 'tool' , 'base'. how do you insert drop down tables. thanks john -- johnny.exe ------------------------------------------------------------------------ johnny.exe's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30775 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=517727 |

One way is to use Data Validation - here you can define a list of
acceptable responses and specify that you want the entries in the cell where you have DV to choose from this list. Hope this helps. Pete |
