Using Vlookup in Excel

Is there a way to have a lookup value displayed when you starting typing the
first couple of letters of the value in the box?

Also, I would like to have a calendar in a drop-down to select a date by
simply clicking on the date. Can this be done in excel?

Yes to both.

See Debra Dalgleish's site for instructions on building a Data Validation with
combined ComboBox which has AutoText.

See Ron de Bruin's site for a Calendar drop-down.
