HOW TO PREVENT NUMBERS IN SPREAD SHEET FROM ROUNDING

IN MY SPREADSHEET THE TOTALS ACROSS THE ROW ARE NOT ADDING CORRECTLY. WHEN
YOU ADD THE CELLS MANUALLY, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE OF 1 PENNY. HOW TO CORRECT
THIS.

HOW TO PREVENT NUMBERS IN SPREAD SHEET FROM ROUNDING

Its usually a rounding issue. If your formula is returning 65.0241533 for
example, and you have the cell formatted to two decimal places you will see
65.00, but the odd 0.0241533 is still there and will be summed and totalled
in a formula that adds up the range you have specified. This can make a
significant difference in the total if you were summing say 2000 cells or
more.
The way round it is to use the ROUND function in your formulas (apart from
the final SUM formulas) like this,
=ROUND((Your Formula),2)
This will convert the result of your formula to a true two decimal place
number and should give you a true result in your totals.
Regards,
Alan.
