importing data

Hello,
I am starting up a new business( solo Family Practice physician). I have
Windows ME. The excel package comes with a small business financial manager,
which says that I must import my database. I am looking for a
simple/inexpensive way to balance my business checkbook and itemize expenses
for the IRS. have no employees now but plan on hiring help in time.

I'm not sure how inexpensive it is, but you may want to take a look at
QuickBooks (by Quicken).

In fact, you may want to talk to other docs to find out what they use. Even if
they don't have a favorite, you may be able to avoid a bad choice!
