Hi all.

Great ng. On my newsreader (using Netscape early version -- no pop-ups
and few holes that I can detect, as against later versions or IE).

This posting shows up just as the title, but nothing in the message.
Yet someone must be seeing it becuase there are replies..

What causes this?

Simply because there's no message, plain and simple !
It's not correct procedure to leave the message area empty but what can be
done ?
(Don't think there's anything amiss with your newsreader <g)

No, nobody is seeing any message (because there's none). But there could
always be respondents who grasp the query straight-off the subject line and
wish to offer assistance to the poster notwithstanding. And some
respondents (depending on mood <g) might even offer advice to such posters
to post properly within the message area in future ..

You're welcome ! Btw, forgot to tell you earlier that it's also um .. not
correct procedure to alter/change the subject line of the original post in
posting responses to it, lest this might foul up proper threading in google
archives or elsewhere, with impact on future referencing/retrievals (this is
unfortunately what you did <g).

Uhmmm... no, this is an exception. It's a different (and somewhat off
topic) subject. This reflects the guidelines set by RFC1855 et al...
