cell color index comparison

hi
Experts

I am working on excel sheet to compare the cell color index of 5 cell.
say CELL A, CELL B ,CELL C, CELL D, CELL E.

I have used cf to format the color of all cells. If CF condition evaluates
to be true then colour of cell A and
either CELL B or CELL C and
either CELL D or CELL E

colour becomes same.

what I am trying to do is to compare the cell colour index.
If colour index of CELL A
matches with colour index of either CELL B OR CELL C
and with colour index of either CELL D OR CELL E

then the colour index of CELL G should be same as the colour index of all
the compared cells.

Any easy solution greatly appreciated
Thnx

Think a simple way to drive it out in col G would be to check the underlying
CF conditions set in the precedent cols A to E

For example, suppose you have conditionally formatted cols A to E to trigger
the cell fill color (say, green) with the CF formulas:

=A1=1
=B1=1
=C1=1
=D1=1
=E1=1

Then for col G, if we set the CF formula as:
=AND(A1=1,OR(B1=1,C1=1),OR(D1=1,E1=1))
and set the fill color to green as well ...

If col G's CF formula above (set to check that the underlying conditions in
cols A to E are satisfied in the desired manner), evaluates to TRUE, then
this will trigger the same cell fill color (green) in col G
(which will achieve the effect that you're after)

Adapt to suit ..
