I am very new to Excel.

What I am trying to do is...

In column A1 I want to start with 1000.
In column B1 I want it to automaticaly add 10 so it will put in 1010
in C1 1020
all the way up to 9990.

Is there a way to do this with only putting 1000 or a formula in A1?

=A1+10

Drag copy across .......

Because there are only 256 columns you'll "run out" of cells in row 1 when
you reach 3550.

Just another play to try,
assuming you don't mind having it filled in a zig-zag manner ..

In Sheet1

Put in A1: 1000
Put in A2: =IF(A1="","",A1+10)
Copy A2 down to A900

In Sheet2

Put in A1:

=IF(OFFSET(Sheet1!$A$1,ROWS($A$1:A1)*256-256+COLUMNS($A$1:A1)-1,)="","",OFFS
ET(Sheet1!$A$1,ROWS($A$1:A1)*256-256+COLUMNS($A$1:A1)-1,))

Copy A1 down to A4, fill across to IV4

The above will fill the numbers 1000 - 9990 in cells A1 to EB4 in a zigzag
manner in Sheet2
