New HP computer with Win 7 and MS Office 2007. Printer is Dell V505, and I
have installed correct printer driver for Win 7 and the Dell prints everything OK until I tried Excel 2007 spreadsheet which the Dell will not print. I get error note (no message) in Start/Control Panel/Printers. Is a special printer setup needed for Excel 2007? Hope you can help. Thanks... |

I think my bottom line is that you may need to contact HP and ask for
customer support assistance on this one. There shouldn't be any special setup required for the printer to work with Excel if it's working with other applications like Word, Notepad, etc. What happens if you use File -- Print -- Print and try to select the printer from the list? One last thought - is the Dell V505 set as your default printer? If it isn't, then perhaps the printer that is selected as default may the printer with issues.
