Put 1.03 (or 1.05) in an empty cell.
Edit|copy that cell
Select the range to adjust.
edit|paste special|choose multiply and values

Clean up that cell with 1.03/1.05 in it.

HI Sue
For 3%, type 1.03 in a cell copy it then select your column ( Range)
goto EditPaste special and select Multiply. you can delete the 1.03 and change
it to 1.05
and do the same thing again for your other range.

drag formula to a column

Hello!

if you want to add 3% or 5% to a column, first, we'll name the base column as Column A, then if we want to add 3% to 5% on to column A, we just need to put 1.03 or 1.05 to a random cell, Z1. Now, we can place a formula on another column, B, and use the formula:

=A*Z1

on Column B, and just drag it until the last entry of the column A. now we get a 3% increase for all the entries in Column A which are in Column B.
