Excel 2007 chart

I have data in col B row 1 to 10:
I have a chart of this worksheet showing col B row 1 to 1000
Here is the trouble:The chart shows the data in row 1 to 10 but also shows
ZERO's for the remainder of the chart. 9IN DUE TIME THERE WILL BE DATA ALL
THE WAY TO ROW 1000).I would like very much to have the chart show a blank
for any row that contains NO DATA.
Thanks

Exclude that area from your chart so in EXCEL 2007 take the following action:-

- right click on your chart

Select Data

In here just change the underlying data so that it only places into your
chart the data that you want it to include. You can then come back and amend
this later as and when you want to add new areas (data) to your chart.

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks.

Thanks for the input BUT that is just what I did not want to do,
I have other charts that perform as requested but I forgot how I did it .
The charts show ONLY the data that is available but the chart covers a much
greater area and shows no data until the data is inserted in the actual
spreadsheet

You need a Dynamic Range for the series.

Stephen Bullen shows you how.
